A brief does not have to be long or technical. Its job is to help the team building the site understand your business and what you need to achieve.
What to include
- About the business: what you sell, to whom, and what sets you apart.
- The goal of the site: enquiries, online sales, bookings or presentation.
- The pages you need: a rough list is plenty.
- Features: a store, several languages, a form, a blog, integrations.
- Examples: sites you like, and what exactly you like about them.
- Content: do you already have copy, photography and a logo?
- Budget and timing: a rough range helps us make a realistic proposal.
What you do not need to decide in advance
You do not have to choose the technology, the plugins or the hosting. Those are decisions we take together, once we understand what the project needs.
The better we understand what you want to achieve, the more precise the proposal will be.
